Fisgas de Ermelo
Among the tallest waterfalls in the country. Go early, wear proper shoes, and leave the rest of the day for the pool.
Senhora da Graça
The sanctuary on Monte Farinha is the classic Mondim outing — a viewpoint more than a long hike.
Alvão Natural Park
Closer than Gerês, quieter than Gerês. Good for a half-day without committing the whole stay to the car.
Ponte d'Olo river beach
Near Ermelo. A river stop on the way back from the falls, then home to Casa Amarela.
